HomeIT Support Cost in Los Angeles

What IT Support Costs for a Small Office in Los Angeles (2026)

Published 2026 rates from Los Angeles IT providers run roughly $100 to $300 per user per month. This guide explains what sits behind that number for an office with 3 to 50 computers, what a quote usually leaves out, and what we charge.

What actually drives your monthly IT bill?

  • Number of computers and servers — most of the work scales with devices, not headcount
  • Whether you run an on-site server, and how far past its planned life it is
  • The security stack included — endpoint protection, patching, monitoring and documentation
  • Backup: how much data, how often it runs, and whether restores are actually tested
  • Microsoft 365 licensing — billed by Microsoft, and separate from any support plan
  • How fast someone is on site, and whether those visits cost extra
  • Your industry — dental, medical, legal and accounting offices need tighter controls

Per user or per computer — why the unit matters more than the number

Most Los Angeles providers quote per user. We quote per computer, because that is where the work is: patching, monitoring, endpoint protection and repairs happen on machines, not on people. The two models land in very different places depending on your office. A ten-person team where everyone has one desktop pays about the same either way. A practice where eight staff share four shared workstations pays far less per computer. A team where everyone carries a laptop and a desktop pays far less per user. Ask any provider which unit they are quoting before you compare two numbers.

What a monthly quote usually does not include

Four things sit outside almost every managed plan in Los Angeles, including ours. Project work — a server replacement, an office move, a Microsoft 365 migration, new cabling — is quoted separately. Hardware is yours to buy. Microsoft 365 and other software licences are billed by the vendor. And if a network needs documenting or cleaning up before a plan can start, that work is quoted in writing first. A monthly figure that looks unusually low is often one of these moved out of the plan rather than a better deal.

Frequently Asked Questions

At the published Los Angeles range of $100 to $300 per user per month, a 10-person office is usually quoted somewhere between $1,000 and $3,000 a month. Our managed IT plans start from $95 per computer per month, so an office with ten computers starts near $950, with project work quoted separately.

Not automatically — it depends on your ratio of people to machines. If everyone has exactly one computer, the two models land close together. If several staff share a few workstations, per-computer costs you less. If everyone carries a laptop plus a desktop, per-user costs you less. Compare the total, not the rate.

Published break/fix rates in Los Angeles generally run $150 to $250 per hour. Hourly work looks cheaper in a quiet month, but it only pays someone to fix things, never to prevent them — so the bill tends to arrive in the months you can least afford it.

Because at that price something is usually missing — the security stack, backup monitoring, or on-site visits. The unit matters here too: our $95 is per computer, not per user, and it includes help desk support, patching, endpoint protection, backup monitoring and on-site visits. Always ask what is inside the number before comparing it.

No. Our plans are month to month, with 30 days notice to cancel, and every quote is written and itemized before you sign.
